After taking the Five Love Language quiz, I found that my primary love language is Acts of Service and my secondary love language is Quality Time. I did not find this surprising because those two aspects are what I love most about a relationship, whether it be a partner, family member, or friend. Acts of service speak volumes to me because it shows your partners dedication and love for you in a way that they are willing to take the time to help you and maybe even take some stress off of your shoulders. Quality time is also important to me because you can spend time together and feel the love that they have for you in a unique and personalized way. I do think that my results could help my partner learn the best ways to show his love for me and help him to know what makes me feel loved and appreciated. If you know your partner’s love language, it may be easier at times to understand why they felt your love more at certain times compared to other. For instance, if your partner feels that receiving gifts is important to see your love for them and receiving gifts is not high on your list then the love language quiz may be helpful and stop some unnecessary arguments when your partner doesn’t feel appreciated. Overall, knowing your love languages can benefit and strengthen your relationship by teaching you what your partner values most when it comes to love.
